The Company's scope of operation is:-
"The manufacture and supply of wire ropes and associated products from galvanised carbon steel, stainless steel, phosphor bronze, brass and other non-ferrous metals. Wire rope assemblies with end fittings and cut to length ropes. Plastic-coated ropes. Wire wound inserts for heat exchanger tubes"
- It is the policy of the company to encourage the active involvement of persons working for and on behalf of the company in both minimising the adverse effects on the environment and in providing the best environment in which to work. This includes a commitment to maintain a system of continual improvement and prevention of pollution.
- Adhere to and where possible exceed the requirements of all relevant environmental legislation and regulations applicable to the company and its environmental aspects.
- Manage the land to the best environmental standards.
- Keep grounds, car park and footways clear of litter at all times.
- Undertake a Risk Assessment before new products and procedures are introduced.
- Ensure disposal of waste in safe and environmentally friendly manner.
- Purchase biodegradable and "ozone friendly" cleaning materials and ensure that contractors follow the same practice.
- Encourage suppliers, contractors and customers to increase their environmental friendly practices.
- To continue to monitor, evaluate and update its processes and systems in line with the policies, objectives and targets. These systems are designed to meet the international standard ISO 14001.

Natural Resources:
The policy aims to prevent pollution by minimising the use of natural resources via:-
- Introducing control systems to improve energy efficiency.
- Adapting the building to reduce heat loss wherever this can be cost effective.
- Introducing low energy lighting.
- Installing devices to reduce the consumption of energy and water.
- Purchasing recycled paper and paper products where practical.
- Reduce, recycle and /or reuse waste where practical.
- Reducing, and if possible, eliminating the use of disposable products.
Implementation:
The policy is to:-
- Ensure that all persons working for or on behalf of the organisation are asked to consider the environmental implications of their work / operations.
- Promote the Environmental Policy and to give basic awareness training.
- Maintain close co-operation with groups interested in environmental issues.
- Undertake an annual environmental audit and regular inspections.
